That is why we created Say It With Scripture: beautifully presented, thoughtfully chosen gifts that share the love of Jesus Christ and carry the encouragement of God's Word. Something to hold. Something to use. Something that quietly says, I'm thinking of you. I'm praying for you. You're not alone.
Meet our founder, Abi Fourie
I'm Abi, a British-born mum, wife, and founder of Clothed by Faith. I believe that the simplest acts of kindness, offered with love and dignity, can change someone's day—and sometimes much more.
When I founded Clothed by Faith in Katy, Texas, in 2013, it started with bags of donated clothing in our garage and a desire to help families who were struggling. Having known what it felt like to grow up without enough, I wanted people to feel seen, valued, and cared for. That little beginning grew into a ministry reaching people throughout Greater Houston. It taught me that the way we present a gift matters nearly as much as the gift itself: dignity, detail, and love should be felt from the very first moment.
Say It With Scripture is a new expression of that same conviction. We may be offering candles, blankets, keepsakes, jewelry and everyday comforts rather than clothing, but our purpose remains the same: to make the love of Jesus tangible and point people toward the hope we have in Him.
Our story: Walking through the unexpected
In 2025, my husband Julius was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. In an instant, life was divided into before and after. There were hospital days, frightening news, treatment decisions, long nights, and moments when all we could do was pray and take the next step.
We have also known extraordinary hope, encouragement, and gratitude during Julius's treatment and recovery. Our faith in Jesus didn't mean we were never afraid. It meant we had somewhere to turn when we were. The prayers, messages, practical gestures, and love poured over our family mattered more than we can explain.
We began sharing our journey at Julius & Abi: Walking by Faith, held close by the words of 2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” It is our personal account of walking through the unexpected, trusting God, and finding beauty in the smallest acts of care.
Through that season I began thinking differently about what we send when someone is hurting. Flowers are beautiful, and sometimes they're exactly right. But what about something comforting that can stay beside a hospital bed, warm someone on a difficult evening, or become part of an everyday ritual of hope?
Why these gifts matter to us
Our cable-knit blankets represent warmth and the reassurance that someone is being held in love. A candle can create a quiet moment to stop, breathe, and pray. A wooden comfort cross gives someone something simple to hold when words are hard to find.
And our soaps and restorative skin balm reflect another part of our family story: learning to value gentle moments of care and intentional routines amid the demands of illness and recovery. They are everyday comforts inspired by what mattered to us along the way—not medical treatments or promises of healing.
Each product has its own Scripture theme, selected to speak hope, peace, courage, or gratitude into the moment. Every order includes a little stone cross as our gift to you. For orders over $100, we also include a wooden Comfort Cross, a small reminder that faith can be something we literally hold onto.
A meaningful alternative to sending flowers
